I trained as an anthropologist and occupational therapist in the UK. I am conducting research around Kintampo in the Brong Ahafo region of Ghana. My research looks at the experiences of people living with mental illness in rural Ghana, including the impact of the illness on work, family life, social relationships and the household economy, as well as the responses of the individual and their family to mental illness,including sources of advice and treatment employed.
